Any newer Dodge six speed auto can be built up to it. The eight speed is a lil iffy.

Your dakota was not too far off from my old Quad Cab 2wd 5.9 hemi with hurst 5 speed.

Chirp the big 265/70/16's in the back in third at 60. Breaks it loose if you slam to the floor then.

It got totaled at the post office of all places. I made mistakes before and can patch them over and did. But this is one mistake I will have to live with forever knowing the value of that transmission and engine.

You know better than that. I used to be a Chevy fan but not since I had that 1992 Dakota 4x4 with the V6.

Sir, my knowledge stopped 30 years ago. I would be a laughingstock of the entire truck world if I tried to babble about stuff I know nothing about.

I routinely see videos of tractor pullers tearing engines out. Dropping shafts, breaking frames etc. That's my entertainment.

Watch the bottom blow by on this one below the pan.

When engine oil splashes out KABOOM.

I just did it because it ate the cam and I had the ls9 cam sitting on the shelf already. It's my daily driver so I don't beat on it, I just didn't want to go out and spend 70k on a new one lol.

Ok. That sounds good. And I can add a gear vendors overdrive to make it a 12 speed.

Does your suburban have DOD, aka cylinder deactivation?

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

It did, I did away with it when I swapped the cam. That's what killed the cam. The screen in the plate plugged up. I stepped on it to pass a car and the lifters pumped up, screen clogged and they didn't go back down and flattened the cam out.
