I have always taken home time, thanked them for the opportunity , told the dispatcher how hard they worked to solve problems but the company was just not a good fit for me.

Well, home time don't mean much for me except being out of the truck. I love my family, but one thing I won't deal with is my mom and stepdad trying to put me in the middle of their arguments and debates when I am just trying to relax. That is just as bad as dealing with the yahoos at work.

Three coils. Aluminum. So big you cannot lift them. But you sure can spill em. HA...

Go from Logan KY to Williamsburg VA over the Smokies at night in the rain all tarped and secured.

7 am, pull in. Busch dock. Coils off, one goes into munching machines stamping out about 168 cans and lids per second per machine trying to keep up with oh.. 50 million excessive beer drinkers. /tease.

7:40 back to Logan Empty, three more coils. Get moving yer late already, back 7 AM next day.

Round and round she goes. Money takes care of itself.

Sorry for being MIA. I have been so ticked the past few days that it has made me physically sick. I'm better today but still ticked. All I can say is I'm not going to deal with this crap anymore.

So you gonna go to another otr company and deal with the same crap after they promise you it will be different? Read the 1,000,000s of posts on here....otr is all the same at 99% of the companies. Just do your research and figure out what you need and can deal with before making a lateral move to be equally as miserable.

Or don't I guess. WTF do I know, I only love my job and am not miserable and never job hopped and have a kick ### retirement saved up in the 401k and a pension coming.....and I'm only 38. People are gonna do what they are gonna do but why end up hating life at 100 different companies.....

I have gotten the promises in writing this time. I didn't even ask for it in writing, although I was going to. Don't worry. Western has taught me some valuable lessons. Never take anyone's word for anything, unless they put it in writing. Always take care of myself first. And never, I repeat, NEVER allow myself to become just a number on some board. That is what I am at Western. A number on some board.

Dude you are a number on a board no matter where you are at. It don't matter where. I am a retired UPS feeder driver, one of the most sought after highest pay jobs out there and do you think I was known by anything other than my employee ID number? No..... As much as I hate to say it because I #### on other guys for saying it, maybe trucking isn't for you. I know otr is more of a lifestyle than a job and that's why I don't do it, there is no fault in that being as how every job is not for everyone. You will be nothing more than a number working in trucking, corporate America, retail, hell even working on cars you will be a number that needs to put up numbers so the shop can make it's numbers. That's just the world we live in.
