The break he shows is a valid break. It is more than 10 consecutive hours combined off duty and sleeper berth. The only thing wrong on the grid of this log is the flag coming back on duty is at 1800 and should be at 1700.

wait a second you tricked us, this was a quiz for people just learning logs. Not for those who "know" how to log.

    No doubt a grade-A 'hole.

I don't think I have ever shown a location in Remarks for any change to/from OFF-DUTY/SLEEPER BERTH, unless my location has changed from the last ON-DUTY location (i.e., if I drove somewhere on Personal Conveyance) and I have never had it questioned

As for being "forced" to go ON-DUTY to satisfy some power-tripping moron's ego... he can get stuffed. If I were parked in a legal and safe manner (i.e., such as you were--at a truck stop) I would tell them to come back when I am at work in xx hours.

And since I sleep with my doors locked and my curtains closed I would just go back to sleep. :biggrin_2559:

    P.S. Fix your quoting.

I would have logged all of 5:30 am to 5:00 pm as off duty. It makes no difference where you are while off duty. You could be playing cards and not sleeping, I am talking legal here, not reality. I think you only 'need' to record sleeper to split a shift.
