This is false information. Mark and Gary will do everything possible to get you home. I worked for them almost 7 years as a company driver. Only left to go do my own thing pulling chemical tanks. I'm waiting for them to have an opening to put my truck on with them. With that being said they are a business and they exist to make money not cater to you. They aren't going to deadhead you back unless there is no loads back. 99% of their freight is out and back on their otr. If you need time off they're pretty lenient

They are on electronic logs, pay percentage, got local and regional work. What you want to know about them? They are slow right now. This economy has them feeling the pinch a little bit

Do you work for them rhmc? Ive read so many reviews on them, some say they treat you great and its a very good company to work for. Then, some say they will fire you over nothing and that they take care of the senior drivers a little too much and starve the new guys with crappy paying loads? Just would like to know the truth from someone currently there. They also couldnt tell me much on the phone about their family plan health insurance(which seemed kind of odd)? Thanks for the reply.

No I don't work there anymore. I worked there for awhile though and still talk to people there drivers and management. It's a good company but if you're used to having a load planner and somebody planning and telling you what to do and everybody being kept around the same miles it's an adjustment at r&j. Their dispatch is based on seniority. On Friday all loads to be picked up on Monday will be dispatched by seniority so naturally the senior drivers who have put the time in will get the better loads to start the week off with. The rest of the week starting Tuesday morning on the otr board will be dispatched on a first empty basis. In the event multiple trucks get empty at same time it will be by seniority. So in some ways seniority helps you. You pick your loads at r&j. When it's your turn to pick they'll tell you all available loads left in your area and you take your choice. I made 50k+ my first year and never made less than that. When I left 6 years later I was making in excess of 72k. I never worked a weekend. Was always home. I ran the regional otr board. Local board a little different. They're health insurance is pretty good bit they have docent levels you can buy. If your spouse has insurance already they'll not let you put her on if I remember correctly but I've been gone 4 years now. I went and bought a truck and went to pulling chemical tanks. They're not taking owner operators currently due to being slow but when they do start leasing owner operators back on I'm going back to them

They're less likely to fire you for a mistake if you're honest and tell them. They're pretty lenient in some ways. They're a real good company and you have to screw up real bad to get fired. It's a family run company. Mark Carrocce runs the company. His uncle Gary is vp his brothers Troy and Kevin dispactch. The owner Ronnie will show up at company picnics usually. It's an open door policy there and truly is

    jeremygray76 Thanks this.

Is there any current info on R&J Trucking. It seems like there are doing very well with the plastic side of the company. They said that Drivers are making very very good money at the time and I was just wondering if there is any drivers that could verify that info or not. I am looking to start working for them and would like and kind of info on this company. Thank you for looking at this thread.
