how much is the health insurance for a family? I'm assuming that the top pay for linehaul starting out is $29.04? do linehaul guys out this way get to stay in the same truck everynight?
-

They got assigned trucks. City guys have assigned trucks and trailers.

I don’t know anything about Portland and costs of living out there, but $29 an hour to start certainly isn’t anything to scoff at.
-

That’s what I thought also. The no OT definitely levels it out a bit
-

Linehaul doesn’t get hourly pay. They use “trip pay” which varies depending on the run, but generally works out to be a few cpm less than other carriers.Rugerfan Thanks this.

Family medical is around 80 week. I had everything they offered for most part it was 115 week for all.

Linehaul pay sucks. Its a formula they use for terminal to terminal. Every place I talked to p&d hours were never an issue. But you won't start top rate and there is no OT. Unless Oregon is like California.

Portland seemed to break freight late. A lot linehaul guys still were waiting always around 11pm still.MACK E-6, Rugerfan and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

their ad is saying city drivers are starting at $29.04. I'm not sure what their top rate is
-

That's pretty good then. When I hired on I started at top rate as well for teams.

Out east dudes said 50 to 60 hours a week was never an issue.Rugerfan and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
