Don’t you love people that make top dollar to take twice as long to do half as much work as everybody else?

Yep, gets old. One of the main reasons I left. TM’s buddy was in an area next to mine and refused to pull a lift gate trailer. I always had one. I’d get pushed into his area to do deliveries in the morning and get bounced back for pickups in evening. I didn’t have a problem helping a guy out who’s slammed, but this was beyond the pale. Went to TM repeatedly to no avail. Went so far as to call WIL. Every other guy in that area went out with a lift gate and we had available ones but the brown noser never pulled one. Other factors led to me leaving but this situation was the straw that broke the camels back. Went in for 18 months or better. I’m much happier now. R&L was a good eight year run for me but it was time to move on. I’m enjoying the heck out of open deck!

That happened to me once. Icy yard, another reason I left. They never salted yard , yard was treacherous in winter. Anyways tail was in yard, staged dolly, banged then together, all looked good but dolly fifth wheel didn’t fully lock. Got about two hundred yards and bang! There was the tail on the ground. Thankfully it was light and it happened in the yard. Too icy for forklifts to come out and raise it, switcher couldn’t get under it, so I ended up cranking it up. Lots of people saw it, asked if I should call safety and was told” nope, no damage, it’s fine”.

Well first ask can you hold up a middle lane? Ok passing slowly in the left lane? Can you sit on a fuel island for 45 minutes or longer? If it’s a day cab you really better have your S together. That job requires you to drive like a $&?! at all times. Can you handle that?

R&L is not for everyone. Especially anyone with a soul or knowledge of the other 7 BILLION on this planet.

I don’t think they pay OT after 40 hours.

All LTL guys do this. I have a FedEx freight guy try to pass me every night. He's usually in left lane for about 7 miles. I now just back out of it and let him go EVERY night.

I thought about doing LTL for awhile but I decided I'm just too polite
