Line haul where I live doesn't pay hourly. They pay a flat trip pay. No dock work here. I applied to R&L and have spoken to a few drivers here in Columbia, SC

What's the trip rate in your neck of the woods?
What's the average time per trip.
Thanks

I worked for R&L back in 2007 and even on the extra board I still averaged 600 miles a day and I always volunteered to work an extra day on Saturdays so I was doing quite well at the time at $0.50 per mile. I only worked there for a year and it went downhill pretty quick after I quit because they gave all the long runs to team drivers.
The solo guys that wanted to be home every day got totally screwed in the deal and needless to say most of the old-timers quit because they weren't making enough to pay their bills after the restructuring.
Things might be different in your area so it's always worth talking to the local guys. -
they used to make you put your family in the truck take a load out to the resort area spend a week there then get a load coming back
