If you're going to apply I'd get on it quick because from I understand most of the spots are filled. I'm actually supposed to be there tomorrow to do "new hire paperwork" but I've got one other job that's going to be calling me today so I'm on the fence currently. I originally applied due to the fact I only live about 2 miles from the terminal so it's convenient after those long days. However, I was originally only interested in Line Haul which I was supposed to get, but when I stopped by today they asked if I would be open to P&D. So I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I'm not really a fan of P&D, I've never done it, but I know several that do and just from listening to their stories about their daily adventures, I know it's probably not suited to the way I like to drive. I usually pull a skateboard locally, not a huge dry van fan but line haul intrigued me, so if I get there and they push P&D on me, I'll probably just go with another local outfit pulling a "flow boy" running asphalt.

.50/cpm back in 05? ####, trucking really hasn't increased in pay. I'm fairly new at a top LTL company and start pay is .565.

That might be comparable to the .65 top pay most are paying now, though (but not R&L). It's certainly true there hasn't been an increase in real wages when adjusted for inflation and cost of living.

Yea I’m working in the oil fields now they offered me P&d I’m interested in linehaul for more pay so I prob not gonna take it either I need to pay down some debt so I can’t do the $20hr with no overtime right now I thought it would be good to be close to Home but the money wasn’t enough to leave my current situation

There are quite a few city guys at R+L with long peddle runs who actually do better than the linehaul guys.
