I-80, exit 112
It's a TA truck stop, but the restaurant is called "R" Place, and let me tell ya, they have some of the BEST food!
Large portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff.
It is charming, with antique tin toys decorating the entire restaurant, fresh baked goods, baked daily right there.
I don't know anything about the fuel, or showers, as we just stopped for lunch today, but I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!!

Get yourself the Strawberry pillow. Puffed Phillo dough with a whipping cream and sliced strawberries and another puffed phillo dough on top. Yummy

Yes, next time we stop, I'm going to make sure I take my camera in with me...that place is just AWESOME!!
We had the Tirimasu for dessert, and just had no room in the fridge for that Strawberry Pillow, but I was sorely tempted to get one, anyway!!
Next time, I order dessert, FIRST!!! LOL

I used to stop there quite a bit. Found it to be a bit expensive but well worth the price. A little disappointed that its a TA now (when did that happpen?) but as long as they don't mess with the restaurant they can do what they will with the rest of the joint.
simplyred1962 Thanks this. -
TA bought that truck stop in '07. I've not gone in there since they bought it. Yes, I despise TA that much.
1nonly Thanks this. -

The food is still very good, and I didn't think they were all that expensive, considering the portion sizes.
I also forgot to mention, that their big 4 pound burger , called the Famous Ethel, was featured on one of those food shows on the Food Network. I saw that episode recently, and didn't connect it until we were almost leaving. I asked, and they said, yes, it was them, filmed about 2 years ago.
If you can finish it, with all the trimmings, in an hour or less, it's free, and you get your photo on "the wall of fame."

I luv luv luv R Place! Stopped there a few weeks ago. They also have lots of room to play with your fur-baby in the big field out front!
