Anyone that doesn't realize that Swift knows exactly where we are at any given moment is simply ignorant - or stupid.

But for the RA score, things like turn down rate or over-idle do not factor in.
I have a score of -13, and that is a very high rating. But my turn down is high (especially since Plus-1 kicked in), my idle is usually very high, and I had a backing accident 2 weeks after going solo.
    On-time? I send a Mac22 very often, and I am still 100% on-time. Zero service failures.

I plan my trips with a 12 hour sleep break, as opposed to a 10.
I also include at least an hour during my drive time for breaks, and add in time to scale and re-scale, plus fueling time - and a 30 minute pre-trip, as safety desires.

And I anticipate the hills before going down them, so that I can set my engine brake or my gear so that I don't get an overspeed.

It has worked for me, so far.
Maybe because I have safety in mind more than getting that extra mile.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

RA seems to be a bunch of BS to me a month ago I had a 2 and now it's a 9 what the hell I have had several critical events 2 which where due to deer crossing road so I hard braked so what why should u lose points to avoid a deer hit I just saved them thousands of dollars in damage,I been running but nights lately working for Walmart dedicated, I got 1 yesterday for stability Going 16 mph onto a on ramp and there was something in the road so I dipped down on shoulder and another critical event wtf, does other company's see this or is it just swifts ra they keep for then selfs?

Maybe I should just start smashing the deer and see how they feel about that say it just just came out of nowhere

Ahhh..dude...push the acelerator and hit the deer!....you cause more damage to your own ra score by avoiding them! hit them!....old time driver...teaching class in swift school....said it when i went thru academy there....yeah..you might cause damage...but you coz more if you go off the road and tip or dump fr8t....I know it goes against instinct...you want to avoid taking any life..even an animal..but swift and most trucking comp dont see it that way...protect your score...hit the animal.....

If and only if you do a good job hitting a Deer it will be considered non-preventable. :biggrin_25525:
Couple months before I quit I hit one.

I was told not to tell Claims I hit the Deer but to say the Deer hit me.:biggrin_2552:

Was in one of those Plastic Prostars.
Needed new Grill, Condenser and Headlight, cracked the Fiberglass hood in one place also.
Thought for sure they were going to try to say it was preventable. But Nope.

I was trying to protect there truck That should not lower your RA score I didn't swerve either time just hard braked no damage crash avoided.

I be sure to say the deer hit me if if happens again I'm not going to let them to continue to damage my safety rating because they think ur tailgating a car and trying to avoid a rear end crash.

I wanna.call Phoenix and ##### but I'm sure that will do no good those idiots don't listen to us.
