hello everybody! my experience with Radio Active Radio is the next: i've bought from them a Connex 4300-300 and a Rci 69 FFB4 radio, both with the Super Wack Pack,Super RX,nitro knobs,, Bold
Extended Beep, Upgraded Leve III Echo/reverb board, amp on.off,etc...I've paid approx. $2100.The radios arrived at my home less then 6 months. The truth is that the radios were sounded very good in AM,not very good in USB ,but where I most using them which is FM,it sounded very badly (reaching just 10-15 W from approx. 100-200W pep). I've been using them both in my truck about 5 months, until I had a short circuit and I've burn them. After that I connected with RAR and they told me to ship them to Casa Grande,Arizona in order to fix them. The radios arrived to them in the firsts of January. I had to wait until June, this year,to find out the costs of the repairs ($1000).I've paid them with the only way that they aloud you to pay, which is the bank check $1209,16,which includes the repairs,3 expert coax level 2 ($177) and a astatic 636L ( $35).The check I've send has arrived in the USA at July 25.After a month waiting I've send them an e-mail in order to know how the things goes,if they allready shipped the radios to Spain and they told me this. : "Hello Sir.I am sorry. We have been running behind on your units. I will have them sent out asap. One the RCI I wanted to try something new on the FM side of the unit to help you even a little more. It took me longer then I wanted to and I am very sorry. You have been patient and I am sorry for the delay. Can you email me to verify the address, and I will ship them out shortly.I am sorry for the delay, but the FM mod worked well.RA".This was the last contact that I had with them .Since than I've been sending 3-4 e-mails every week ,also calling them every week, trying to contact with them ,but no exit at all,no answer whats of ever. Please people,I want to understand my position,I'm hopeless.I've started to think that I will never ever going to own and use this radios.I remaind you, people, that I've paid appox $3800 for them, which includes the costs of the radios+costums duties+the repairs.I confess that by trusting in which I thought it was a great lebel ( RadioActive Radio) I was a stupid. They are nothing what they say they are.In the present I still waiting news about my radios, still trying by e-mails and phone calls to reached them...

Get ahold of the Arizona Attorney General's office. See if there is anything they can do. I know it's not much but maybe it's a beginning.

Mike at Radio Active is a major sponsor over at www.cbradiotalk.com..... That said, cbradiotalk.com's Forum administrators all have a "one on one" relationship with their sponsors and I'm sure if you contact one of them or the owner of the Forum (BOZO) they can probably help you out...Least your chances will be better there, than here...just saying.

Spain....Not sure why he just didn't try and find a shop a little closer to home...Or at least on ebay. I can't imagine spending over $3800 to fix those two radios...For that kind of money, he could have just bought a couple airline tickets to the States, and just flew over here, and take a Limo to which-ever CB shop he wanted, and bought New ones, and still have money left over for a couple of Lot Lizards to spend a few nights with before heading back home!:laughing3:

You Are right, they are not what they say they are. I bought a radio from them as well as an antenna, coax, mount. The radio showed up but not the rest. I called them and told them and he said they would credit me for the missing parts. Never happened. Can`t get a hold of them by phone, only answering machine and they won`t return your call. When I ordered the radio over the phone he kept telling me how honest he was, over and over. How good he was. I should have realized then he was a crook. If someone has to keep telling you how honest and good they are they`re lying. I should`ve done my research about them before I bought but I didn`t . It wasn`t till after that I checked him out. I hope others stay away.

RAR has been discussed here at length in previous threads and it's not a pretty picture.

I would also stay away from cbradiotalk if you want unbiased advice and background into these guys. Don't believe me, go over there, type in their name into the search bar and look for anything negative. You won't find anything. Seeing how Mr. Radioactive is one of the admins on their website, anything pertaining to RAR seen as negative will get deleted and more than likely, have you banned in one fell swoop. Most of the guys at mauldroppers are unbiased when it comes to help and advice.

When the bad outweighs the good, it should be a red flag. Lots more reputable techs and shops out there than these guys.

The spam filter picked up on the link in the quote and it had to be manually approved.
