Ya, no doubt! Wish he would work a regular 5 day work schedule like the rest of us! Though I do love listening to the archives!
What's up with Robin? Do you think this is something terminal and they just aren't telling us? -

I used to have Sirius. Personally, I wouldn't get it again. Their so-called "Metal" station was 90% crap and mallcore piss, and there really wasn't anything else on there which peaked my interest. Talk radio just pissed me off (I typically despise pundits as much as politicians), though sometimes I'd turn on the dance music station just for a break from the norm to help keep me focused. But an annual subscription is only something like $95.. not bad if you find something you like on it. When I went back on the road, I just carried my laptop and iPod along, though.

I was in a temporary truck for 2 months without Sirius and since I thought it was only going to be for a few weeks, didn't buy a radio. Longest 2 months of my life as the FM radio didn't work great either. Hunting for a station every 15-30 minutes and putting up with tons of ads sucked.
For less than $100, satellite radio is a great investment.
26, 76, 90, 96 and 106 are the stations on my presets. -
More expensive than that now...

Do yourself a favor and get an external antenna. They work much better.
I have mine (radio) mounted to the top of my CB. I'm in a Volvo, and the CB is centered on the dash.
The only problem I have is with vibration. Some roads will shake things apart.
My first radio went south at about 6 months. I think the vibration messed up the connections between the radio and dock.
My solution was Velcro and a bit of paper towel.
I secured the radio unit to the dock with a couple Velcro strips on each side, and put one running from the top left of the radio to the left side of the CB.
The paper towel is in the space between the bottom of the dock and the top of the CB, just to absorb some more of the movement.
With this setup I haven't had a problem with my second unit. I've had it over a year now.
Time will come when I start to lose signal integrity.
That's when I pull everything apart, wipe and blow out any dust (because dust accumulates from dust in the air, as well as from friction between the parts), disconnect and reconnect the antenna, and put it all back in order.
Then things are good for a good while. -
i know we all h8 transam but
our radios have sirius installed already
one less set of wiring to mess with
i like talk shows keeping me awake at night
mad dog russo
and my Patriots and Red Sox
me thinks it is like $25/month not much for all the usuage
and less distraction looking for stations
