It's been some time since I've had Sirius, so I'm not really familiar with the current channels and what their selection is. -
Sometimes my dog likes to sing to me.

TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

I had either Sirius or XM for several years. For the last few years I have just podcast programs and put them on my iPhone or listen live to various programs from regular radio stations via iHeart radio app and have that plugged into the AUX jack on the stereo and listen to talk shows and other things that I couldn't get on satellite radio anyway. Listen to them when I want. And have a pretty extensive music library on there also. For me, I have found that a better thing than having satellite radio. And even if I did want to do satellite radio, I could just use the Sirius/XM app on the phone and do the same thing as having a dedicated unit. Just another option for folks to look at.

People say Sirius but that is the old school way of radio... Get free radio app for your cellphone like Slacker Radio and TuneIn. There are others but I have no need to try them as those two apps give me everything that I want. I hardly listen to the music either, mostly talk shows and comedy really make time fly. The advantage of radio apps over Sirius is that they are free (with option to upgrade, I upgraded to premium service since I love them) and you can skip things you do not want to hear. Since the bandwidth is so low you can stream the radio pretty much everywhere. I drove all the way coast to coast through mountains and tunnels and I was still able to listen to the radio apps.

If you are going to use your smart phone for any kind of entertainment while on the road then I highly recommend you upping your data plan to unlimited. Otherwise you will constantly be going over and getting charged out the butt! I've been that route!
I also have to agree that it is often wonderful to just listen to the sounds of the road! That's why we do it right?!
Another guilty pleasure is the "spa" channel or channels that play that relaxing kind of music. Helps with the meditation!
