I purchased a General Lee from Radioactive Radios- back in 2006 & Used it once on a 2600
mile trip.... The radio works, but I am concerned after reading the negative reviews on this shop....
Can I get it restored to factory spec with 11 meter channel- or am I better off purchasing a new radio...
Any information on where to send it would be appreciated....

Find someone that can show you this before you spend your hard earned $$$

[IMG]If they can't show you what they are capable of they must be hiding something.

Great, can the radio be re-worked - or should I start from scratch?

Almost anything is salvageable For a price. Depending on what's been done sometimes it's cheaper to start from scratch

Okay, so I am in the market for a new CB radio- can you hook me up with a reliable
source? Also, what radio would be good - that would be comparable - to the one I
    purchased earlier?

What type of vehicle is the radio going to get mounted in? How far do you want to talk? How far do you want to be able to hear?

It is going in my personal vehicle- 2003 Ford Crown Victoria- with a trunk mount
Wilson 1000 already installed & I would like to hear & talk around 25 miles - without
an amplifier.... I drive a truck local & we do not have a CB in the company truck....

Keep in mind that how far you are able to be heard is determined by the receiver sensitivity of the person on the receiving end but it sounds like a Cobra 148 tuned by Mark Sherman would do exactly what you're trying to do and it's a hundred percent legal

If you had one of his radios on both sides of the conversation they would definitely be able to make the trip to each other and the power output would be 100% legal
