yep philly sucks eggs lol.....i did the same thing when the company directions to the consignee turned out to be a wrong turn into town.....decided the lesser of two evils was get it going the other direction as soon as possible.....locals weren't too happy about it but soon as i got a hole big enough in the traffic to make the swing..... around and in the other direction i went.....fortunately the tandems were slid up pretty far and i've got a volvo so i had a pretty tight turn radius but it was still a ##### and puckered me up pretty good getting it done and used all 4 lanes......

but between the idea of heading into the city or getting myself out before i got in too far, i turned it around.....

without the cops or red light escort haha

not something i'd like to try again, normally would do or advise under any circumstances.....but.....

overdrive said it best in another previous post....."the urgency of the sitation will dictate the actual move" lol....

I'm pretty sure I've turned a trailer around inside of 60'.

It's not good on the tandem tires, but I can jack the daycab around and spin it on the trailer axles. (thinking about it,,,,) okay maybe it was 70 feet but it was definately in side an area smaller than a connected 53 and longnose sleeper.
