Hey guys got contacted from a person from Ralphs/Food 4 less that they be interested (the terminal i would work in would be the one in paramount ca and compton ca) in me they would only tell me the good things thru the phone they said they start me off at 27.62 per hr and that 100% paid medical/vision/dental any questions i had they said it would be answered in an interview with me
I was wondering if anyone currently works for them can answer me these following question
what time does graveyard shift start because they said ill be starting that shift and obviously weekends
and for how long will it take to get out of graveyard and working weekends?
is it all local or do they do overlay?
and how is management/dispatch?
whats top pay if they start u off mostly at 28 bucks?

I just recently quit OTR and Ralphs hired me. its a Part time position but your working full time with overtime....im currently on 90 day probation. I work out of Paramount. I heard Riverside really works you.
its about 20% driving and 80 % using an electric power jack delivering the pallets to the stores...
so far so good. feels like a great job. I am hoping to get 20 years in at least with the pension, medical.
The process to get hired took about a month , LOL....setting up interview over Microsoft, then drive test, then drug test, then safety training then a week with a driver....then on your own....
Great people to work with.
I feel blessedGearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
I was with the Teamsters 10 years before I went OTR for 15 years so I'm still young enough to put in 20 more years.
I do miss the road and being paid CPM does not even compare after taxes with no medical or benefits.
Ralphs was an excellent choice for me. As you stated...if you can get on...then DO IT!jmz Thanks this. -
Yeah, Ralphs/Food for less owned by Kroger who just purchased Albertsons/Vons so possibly more workers needed?
