My jake’s are crap, but I use them on exits too, think I’ll start using them again for stopping in general because that’s how I used to do it

When I see I’m about .3-.4 miles from my exit I turn on my signal tap the brakes coast to around 55 if I know someone tailgating me bad I’ll hold the brakes, but won’t be slowing to that 55 much faster. Once you’re pretty close and you start moving towards that exit you better start braking it down, and I try to do it in as much of a straight line as possible.

Some places are going to be sketchy always, like some exits / on ramps on rt 22 in Allentown. Just a judgement call.

In Maryland isn't it illegal to be moving on the highway with your flashers on. @MACK E-6

With my limited experience even if this is true I find that to be ridiculous because how else would you signal to people behind you that you’re a big road hazard until you get up to speed

I agree but you will need to ask the powers to be in the state of Maryland.

One thing to always remember. Roads like women have one thing in common. The ones with curves are the most fun.

For curve I always slow down atlest 5 mph below the yellow sign on backroads its more of a judgment call but if im worried I slow down to 10 under but im top Heavy with with stuff that like to walk around

I wanted to wait for a while to make my comment. To save space I will also place my comments behind a spoiler.

In the spoiler is two bing map images of places I have seen rollovers. In fact, the first image is very close to my Georgia hometown and the site of a serious rollover about 30 years ago that killed a trucker.

The next image is of I-285 outer loop ramp to I-85 north. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen tandems "dance" here. I also have had to go on ahead to another exit and work myself back to I-85 many times because some dummy flipped one here.

I have seen signs brought up! Remember this! Unless that sign specifically says trucks, it is designed for small non-CMVs, keep that in mind! a ramp with a suggested 25 MPH speed (MIGHT) be way too fast for your truck. The national Eisenhower interstate system is full of places where the design or the local landscape has caused serious problems historically for trucks. The driver that does not keep these points in mind will at some point roll one over!
