Well after I got empty I looked over tires and they are shot. Now that I am empty I can feel the tires bumping. What a costly mistake this is for me. At the Utility shop right now seeing if they can fix it or get me parts today. Then gonna go get some new tires on them. Have Michelin on now and they wore great so would like to put them back on but will see what they have in stock around this area.

I was just telling your story to my wife, and she said: "Can the insurance pay for that?"

Well, I don't know. Can they? You hit something on the road and damaged your rig, basically. So if they could pay, would it be worth the hit?

Anyone use the R123 Bridgestone tires for trailer? Since new truck has Bridgestone might try those out.

I had thought about it but it is a claim. It would pay for it as I have like a $1000 deductible. So it could be worth it but I am just gonna pay for it and move on. I already have a claim over the transmission issue that was not my fault. So I just don’t want to give them anymore reason to raise rates.

I just about had a mental break down over this last issue. Made me so #### mad I wanted to explode. Took about 15 minutes to calm down and just deal with it like everything else in life. It is what it is! In the big picture it is not that big of a deal as is did not mess up my truck at least. Was extremely lucky it was minor damage. Now with that said the trailer is setting at the shop now and the guy suppose to get back to me in a little bit to tell me if they can fix it for me. Hopefully the parts are in stock and they can knock it out in the morning. Will update tonight when I know.

i know the feeling! Normally when something happens to the truck majorly I go fishing or take my family out to do kid stuff. I try to always center back and give my attention to who I’m even in the truck for.

I hope it gets fixed for you, nothing more annoying than just waiting to be done

    It’s not a mistake

it’s just normal operating expenses for being an owner op .

do they even still have those machines that “true” the tires ?

The thing that rotates the tires while they are still mounted on the truck and shaves off the high spots ?

    move had that done before

Even if they do the tires are not gonna be legal. When I looked at them yesterday I could not really tell since it had melted rubber. When I looked it today after I finished my drive it is almost bare. So gonna have to get new regardless.

This is the first time I have ever damaged the trailer or ran something over in the road. That area is just so tight even if you drive slow people cut in front of you in seconds. This was just north of New York City coming from NH. One reason I hate coming to this area.

Well got a call from shop. They have all the parts but closed at 5pm. So they said they can have it ready by 10:00 Am. So that is a win on that situation. Luck is starting to change to the good again. Ha ha
