Mark just to be clear I was more then aware that some issues were being fixed, and were posted previously. The reason I posted what I did was so that people would know what to expect if they bought this unit right now. I did miss a few flaws(such as map license needing updating before the unit even works).

Just to clarify a few things:

Volume - 60% is a bit too quiet, while 80% is too loud and still a bit distorted. 70% would be perfect.

Brightness - unit should dim before acquiring satellites.

Routing - I feel this is a unit logic issue, not a mapping issue. There's no restrictions within the unit on the route I want to take. As soon as I turn off the route where it wants me to go, on to the route I want to go, it recalculates the shorter/faster route without a hitch. That happened to me in Edmonton as I described. It has happened to me a few other times as well.

button issue - I did notice as you described, that it will speed up after you use buttons a few times.

Scale issue - almost all scales on 2 lane highways will pull in trucks from both directions.

Cheater routing - I zoomed in it did not change where it was routing me. This can be recreated on almost any route.

    Thanks for the great response.

1472 1.0.59 is the current version... noticed after last update at 2 different times unit popped an error message. Turned off and back on and everything went on fine. now while driving north on 75 in Tulsa ok the map locked up. when i went to restart unit it pops the error message. Tried restarting and resetting (reset button) all to no Avail. How do i get this Unit working again. Mark you probably still have my number if so feel free to call me.

My unit seems to be incapable of routing correctly now. It has to add 20+ miles to every route. When I turn to follow the shorter route that makes sense, it insisted that I make U-turns for miles. It told me to make 3 U-turns in a row in the middle of a two lane bridge over a river.

Really #### tired of the full screen weight restriction popups. They could at the very least check the roads leading directly to truck stops from the highway. I stopped at a Pilot and there were 4 weight restriction flags in the tenth of a mile from the ramp to the parking lot. Freaking ridiculous.

RM is doing the best they can in following up on all issues reported. If you find an issue please give RM concise information. It can be acted upon much faster.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Terry, I forwarded your E-mail to a good friend at RM tech support. If he cannot get you going let me know. I am in bed with pneumonia and will monitor my E-mails and this forum between naps.

    Thanks,
    Mark

It's not millions of roads, just the ones with a truck stop on them. And it wouldn't be that much of a problem if they weren't flat out refusing to take the popups off.

But, then again what about exits that you have to get off of to pick up or deliver?

All these things have to be taken into consideration.

RM is working on a better solution to the warning pop-ups as in how often they display.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Solution is simple.

    NO FULL SCREEN POPUPS EVER.

As for the consideration of all roads everywhere, that doesn't have any relation to what I mentioned. Weight restrictions from the highway ramp to the truck stop. That's it. Nothing else.
