Heading north today on I-25 into Denver the gps tried to route me on to 225 E to I-70 W to the 270 W and back on to I-25 N.

I went straight on I-25 and the gps said I was on a height restricted road. I rechecked my height setting and it was set at 13'6".

I made it through ok though.

I would like to see the arrive button available when you are close to your destination. In multi stop trips you can't start the leg of your trip if the gps thinks you haven't arrived yet.

I was just gonna mention the incorrect mileage bug. It does it the same way on mine. Pulled off into a rest area and it knocked 120 miles off the total, pulled back on the highway and it went back to the correct mileage.

There seems to be to many instances of CONNECTING ROAD. If there is so much as a turn lane it will say "turn on CONNECTING ROAD" and expect you to know what road it's talking about. If you look at the turn list it says the same thing: "turn right and go 19 miles on CONNECTING ROAD."

the connection road - it knows their is a road there, the name of the road is missing from the mapping database.

The off mileage - it is not fixed in the next upcoming version release, but it does have top priority on the issue list. Rand can see the issue, but cannot duplicate it to narrow down in the code as to where. We understand it is fustrating at times, but it is more fustrating to us, since we need to track it down and put it out of its misery.

I think everyone will be very happy with the next version release. A lot of upgrades. Once it is released I will post How-to's on some of the features.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I know a lot of you are wondering since I am the Lead Beta Tester, exactly how does one become a Beta Tester. No magic. I watch forums and talk to users. If Rand feels that the Beta program would benefit from your knowledge or skill set then they are asked.

If you ask to become a Beta Tester, then I look at that as you are just wanting free products.

I watch what is posted, how it is posted, not in lots of complaints, or fluffly words. But, what the user or person posting truly is saying in their ideas or thoughts.

Rand picks Beta Testers with all levels of computer knowledge or lack of computer knowledge. Drivers with years of driving or just starting out.

You just never know when you will get that PM from Rand.

So, what you post or how you post is always being watched by myself.

Be honest in your posts. If the TND is not doing what that feature is designed to do, then I want to hear about it. I am here to listen to you, the users whom have purchased this TND. If you wish to post through Tell Rand, then by all means do so. If you wish me to answer your Tell Rand then put in the comments to forward that Tell Rand to the Lead Beta Tester.

    Thanks,
    Mark

No vehicles or loads greater than 13'0" are allowed on I-25 in Denver
between milepost 200.11 (jct. with I-225) and milepost 213.85 (jct. with
    I-70). Overheight loads detour is I-225 to I-70, I-70 to I-25

    From Rand,

    Thanks,
    Mark

I realize that on the connecting roads. But it takes it farther than that. For example, if you need to turn on US60 and there's a turn lane with one of those concrete curbs in the middle, it calls the whole road CONNECTING ROAD both as to where it says to turn and in the turn list for as far as your supposed to be on it. It does that with highway ramps all over too.

There's a stretch of OK-3 between Ada and Stonewall, OK that's on the map wrong. There's a newer part that is on the map but it's marked as a side street instead of a highway. The unit shows NEW OK-3 as the road it's on but since it's a gray road it keeps saying to turn off and get on the old highway.

AR-412 across northern Huntsville, AR isn't restricted.

Hi Mark I noticed you mentioned an SD card, well I don't think mine came with one as I don't see it inserted in my TND500. Maybe it is in the box? If so I will look in my truck tomorrow morning. Now I wanted to let you know about a problem I am having. First off my unit is up to date but today on my trip I noticed something wierd... It was like my unit was running in slow motion. I had it on the regular map setting with the window open to see my speed and everything I did was like 10 or 15 seconds behind on the GPS. It is like it doesn't have enough memory. Is that where the SD card comes in?

I also need to tell you about the speed limit on Alabama Highway 157. It shows on the GPS that it is 55 all the way from Muscle Shoals to Cullman. Well they completed the 4 lane a few years back and the majority of it is now 65.

    Thanks for the help.

On the back of your unit -

T5B - has external SD Card - NaviMaps and NaviVoices

T5C - has external SD card slot - but, NaviMaps and NaviVoices are now on the internal Flash.

    Thanks,
    Mark
