I find it useful and I'm running it with the Garmin 465t so between the two of them I can figure out where I'm going pretty well. If you ran it with your unit you'd have pretty much the same setup.
I dunno how I missed that list button. Actually, it wasn't there last time I had an address it couldn't find. This time I didn't look because I could not find it anywhere last time.

All, the server is still not quite right. Rand sees the problem, but we are trying to duplicate the fault that caused the problem.
If you have updated and you TND is locked - unable to get past the Accept screen or locks up on other screens, let me know and I can send you the files to get your TND back up and running.
Thanks for your patience,
Mark -
All, go ahead and update from the TND Dock,, the issue was on the beta side of the house in dealing with newer file formats and then updating the beta unit on production version.
this was strickly on the beta side and does not affect you since you never have gone beyond 1472.
Thanks for hanging in there these past few days.

Is rand every going to get it right? with all these free beta testers out there u would think rand could make there unit solid. I guess when u use outside testers inside of inhouse this is what u get it. I heard rumor of seven inch screen any clue when it will release?

Computers have been around for over 30 years with millions of users and testers... still they have issues.
Rand has a limited amount of Beta Testers. We cannot test every inch of the unit in every way of operating the TND. When you think you have figured out all the ways something can be tested, along comes someone whom has done it a different way.
You also have to remember the Beta Testers are drivers also. They drive 11 hours a day, they have to do their 10 hour break, eat, shower, and sleep. So their time is also very limited daily. Driving is their primary job. If the weather is bad, then Safety is paramount, testing is second.
The Beta Testers Rand has are spending a lot of their time researching issues, testing new versions, and still doing their primary job. They deserve a round of applause.
Rand is coming up with new ideas on how best to utilize the Beta Testers to provide you with quality versions.
Please do not be too harsh on the Beta Testers. They are performing quite well for the amount of testing that needs to be done. If you have not been in their shoes for at least a month then you have no idea of what they really do for you the user.
Rand can neither confirm nor deny the existance of a 7" unit.
Thanks,
Mark

Humm,,, the list button has been on the TND since 1st release. If your button seems to disappear then let me know.
Thanks,

I think I figured it out. If you start entering numbers, it vanishes. You can only use it before you know the address isn't valid, which is kinda backwards.

For the beta tester issue ive never heard too many companies using "in-house" people?? they are paid employees, and since testers do this for free they will give an honest report. as a driver of a truck it makes a lot of sense to test these units in the real world of trucking by drivers that will be using them not some office person that never will....
Chris6074 and SilverShadow Thank this. -
Just a quick note:
My bf (who travels up and down the east coast from NJ/PA - Maine said that when he gets on the George Washington bridge the GPS alerts him of a height violation and goes bonkers and usually stops his route.
He's been on the bridge multiple time with other trucks and doesn't believe there really is a height violation so he doesn't know why the GPS is doing this.
Any answers? -
Mark I am traveling to Oxnard, CA right now and have it set on a multi-stop route.
1st stop is the Petro in El Paso, Tx then Oxnard. As I was coming into El Paso the
exit for the Petro is exit #37, well the TND routed me to exit 35 then had me turn
around and catch the service road to get back to the Petro. Being that I have
common sense I took the exit I needed (#37) and got to the Petro quicker than if
I had followed the TND.
Just thought it would be something you need to know and to let Rand know.
ThanksMark Kling Thanks this.
