Regarding a prior post on a cable connection problem. Talked to Rand and it was decided that the problem is in the socket in the unit, not the cable. Rand will replace the unit. Need to figure out the logistics on swapping the units.

Actually, no. Rand has been getting all this bad data from other vendors and throwing on the unit without checking it at all. Dumping their work on their customers because they can't be bothered to do it. Now annoying as that is, even if we did have the time, energy, or patience to check all this out for them, unpaid, on top of our regular jobs, Rand is just going to get updates from those vendors that they will dump right on the unit without checking again. That will overwrite all the (free) work we've done and stick us with a perpetually broken unit.

Remember when I suggested that Rand check out all the truck stops on restricted roads that were only restricted past the entrance to the truck stop and you said it was an impossible task because there were so many thousands of places to check? You just asked the same thing of us. So I present to you your own answer.

Ya the electronic logs count down by the minute. No 15 minute slots. I think all eobr's work this way.

I don't have an EOBR so can't speak to that. But both of our electronic logs utilize 15-min increments.

Now every time I stop at a station for a minute, it reverts to 36 miles and 41 minutes remaining.
