I've had my TND 500 since mid-february, and my TND 700 since the end of march. I used to use Co-Pilot Truck Laptop 11, but it seems that ALK is more interested in flooding the consumer market as well as raping the trucking companies for their "flagship" product, PC-miler. So far, I had 1 minor problem with the 500, it crashed, but I was able to get the support I needed, and the unit was back up and running in short order.
Sometimes, the TND will not find a street in a particular town, because the street is actually in a subdivision of that town or city. I work around that by using my internet connection and searching Google maps, or if I have a phone number, I do a reverse search on superpages.com. In my opinion, the TND 500 & 700 are going to be great tools for me to use for many years to come.

I can't afford all the modern things like unlimited internet or TND500.

I'm going to soldier along with my laptop on wifi and and my old Garmin.

Qualcomm is gonna tell me how to get there anyhow. Garmin is just along as entertainment really.

And the 2010 Spiral bound truckers atlas is NEVER for from reach!

West coast? You ever go up the I-5 through oregon? We're at exit 233 and can show you the 700 any time man. Just another option anyway.

Is the TND500 compatible with MS Streets and Trips 2010? I want to know before buying the version w/ the USB GPS add-on.

Currently S&T is not compatible with the TND. This is a future feature.

    Thanks,
    Mark
