They would like the approx time so they can look at the server logs.
Thanks,

Tried it about 5 minutes after you posted that it was open so I think around noon. Once I restarted the dock program it came up with the notice from rand and updated fine. It didn't show the notice after it installed the dock update so I don't think the process completed until I closed it manually.
Mark Kling Thanks this. -
Drivers - Rand has asked a favor.
As you pass by Weigh stations or rest Area's, please note the State, road you are on, direction, MM if any, or if you can send a Tell Rand on location as you are sitting there.
Weight stations - note if they are permanent or temporary.
Please forward the info up to Rand via a tell Rand.
Thanks,
Mark -
I've been trying to search the forums with no luck to see if the TND 500 can be used with Linux yet. I still have windows but prefer Ubuntu Linux. If not is it possible in the future.

If the TND 500 does not show the route you wanna take, can you enter your own preferred route? It would really help with trip planning if the route that the unit is showing is the route that I wanna take. My current unit will update and change if I take a route different than what it was showing, but that doesn't help with planning my trip before hand because the milage and time have just changed.
Also, does the map screen display the eta time and a time remaining on trip time? -

On the ETA time, when in a route, on the map page, go to the bottom and towards the right you see the letters for the direction of travel, click on that and you will see other options.

Had it about a year now and am very happy with it. Is it perfect? Nope...what is? Is it very helpful? Yes, I'd buy it again.
It has tried to send me on the lower level of some NYC bridges that I'm not supposed to be on. It has also exhibited a few issues sending me down convoluted alleys into truck stops which are clearly at the end of the off ramp, most notably the Petro in Atlanta, and the T/A in Gary In. I know this though and have adjusted for what I assume to be temporary glitches.
I've got about 165k miles on mine and use it hourly.......Jes' wish it had national weather service maps on it and dispensed $100 bills on request.
The reason I'm posting is because it was this very thread some 12 months ago that prompted me to buy it.
These discussions do aid in "sorting the wheat from the chaff" and were the number one determinant in my owning this model of gps.
Thanks Rand Mcnally.....I enjoy your product immensely! Since I am a trainer for a major reefer carrier, my students get first hand experience with your product. To date, I can attest to at least 6 of my former students now owning the RM gps too.
While I oughtta update the unit more often I suppose, (Just did an hour ago) I'm glad to know y'all take our input to heart and are working to keep it top of the line.
Hats off RM! You have a very satisfied consumer on your hands.
