Yes, a lot of Canadian info was outdated or incorrect. Rand has been trying to resolve this. With the new map update you should see a vast difference.

    thanks,

I have the PC Miler 550, but after playing around with the Rand McNally GPS, I find it much easier to use and get around on it. Darn.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

Got the 2010 'Streets and Trips' at BestBuy for $10 :biggrin_25524: It was $39.95, had a $10 christmas discount, and BB had sent me a $20 coupon to print out. So I did. My last model was the 2003 one, tho I updated,,,finally.
I pre-plan on the laptop if route is somewhat complicated or if I haven't been to that S/R before. I just write down the info on a notebook. No GPS units for me, especially $500 ones. No way will I spend that. TIGHT

I see on google maps you can now 'get directions' and then go on to 'Street View' and see the place!! Way, way cool...[IMG][IMG]

Question on TND 500/T5E.Will the unit show the reason for a routing because of an obstacle alert. My example: In Chapel Hill,NC on 15-501 SB a 13'2" overpass as listed in RM atlas. I tested in my car and was routed around the obstacle. I drove under the overpass and about 50ft past the obstacle I received an alert to a violation. Can I see why I am being routed in a particular manner or do I have to go with the route blindly. I also have a Garmin 1450 that I use to get a better view of the surrounding roadways. By the way the overpass is arch shaped and a truck can pass under in the left lane. Great site.
