I have had this GPS for a year now. I am a local driver and it is right on about 97% of the time when it comes to routing me to stops I don't know.
There is NO GPS that is 100% perfect for trucks. Before this one, I had a Nuvi 350 that was suppose to be for trucks. IT SUCKED. More then 75% of the time it routed me on routes that I could not use.
A GPS is just another TOOL that helps us do our jobs. It can not replace common sense and trip planning, it can only help you.

You haven't tried searching for anything then. When it pauses for several seconds between every letter you type, that's called bogging down.

Assuming it doesn't lock up trying to scroll around the map screen, which it does a lot. Why not just fix it?

It gives me a line on a featureless map. Gimme a marker and a globe, I can do that myself.

See this is why I quit trying to talk to you. Instead of checking something out, you want to sit there and argue. I can prove that it behaves this way and have presented the best reason why. Again, instead of even attempting to fix it, you want to argue. Well, because you say so has never been a valid reason. You want to continue insisting on it, enjoy your permanently broken unit. It will never work right as long as it behaves this way.

And I even send you a FedEx label to ship the head unit to me to look at. Since you posted you never use the TND; then it should allow me time to look at your TND. Truck stops do have FedEx drop boxes.

I am simply stating how the TND works. Because is slightly pauses between each letter does not mean it is bogging down. It is not a Cray computer.

You keep posting all the Con's of your TND and I have mentioned your TND and the way it acts is not the norm. You may have corrupted files that you are unaware of.

Send it to me and I can look at it. Until then understand your TND is not the norm for a fuctioning TND.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I returned my TND 510 to Rand in October. Ticket # 66296. I haven't heard a peep back & I'm not upset. The thing is such a POS that I actually think I navigate better without it. I won't be that upset if I never see it again.

Not that interested on wasting my time on the road with your crap.

Don't exaggerate. It takes 2-10 times longer than any other unit on the entire market to do anything. My calculator is faster.

Yup. That's why the search features on all the display units you had set up all over the country ran at the same ungodly slow speed, cause mine was messed up. Nobody buys it.

#1 - I have been straight forward with you and any other person posting on any thread for the TND.

#2 - I have numerous times offered at Rand's expense to look at your TND. You have not taken me up on this offer, yet you still post how you TND does not work right. If you wish your TND to work like it should then why not take the jump and send it to me since you have posted numerous times you do not use your TND.

#3 - I do not control any display units. Those belong to DAS and if the display is not working or has an issue then DAS is the one who needs to be contacted.

#4 - If you do not wish to enlist my help which I have offered numerous times the last several years then please everyone should know you have refused any type of free help even though your TND is out of warranty.

#5 - Post what you wish. Since you refuse free help from someone who works with the software/hardware, I will not answer you anymore.

#6 - Everyone should know I have tried to assist and help kajidono for several years. He has refused any and all type of help. I offered to make him a Tester to employ his ideas for the betterment of the TND. He has refused that. All kajidono does is slam the TND and any help here or in a PM I offered is met with serious resistance.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Yeah whatever. This from the guy that thinks you can slap a PDF file straight onto an envelope.

    Debatable.

Rand offered to RMA it once. I held on to it in the interest of fixing the code. You offered once. That is not "numerous times". I have told you "numerous times" that I'm on the road and can't mail it in right now.

    A unit is a unit.

    Yeah, keep trying.

I have not refused. That's your game.

You have never PM'd me to help with anything I've posted. You PM'd me about testing a specific beta version that was in testing at the time. I decided that I did not have the time to devote to it at that time. You went on later to insinuate that I, as a normal consumer, was to stupid to say anything about the unit or how it worked. That ended when I reminded you that Rand offered to make me tester, which you seemed to have forgotten about.

I have offered help, which you have fought tooth and nail. Some of my ideas were put on the unit, despite that. That's pretty hard to explain if all I've ever done is slam it, so like I said, keep right on trying to discredit me or make me look bad. Anyone can go back through the posts and decide for themselves how it went.
