Just checked on that "Seabrook, NJ" location and on another one that I couldn't find yesterday (Byhalia, OH.)

TND - no to both (NavTeq maps)
Garmin - no to both (NavTeq maps)
Goodyear - no to both (NavTeq maps)
Cobra - yes to both (TeleAtlas maps)
PCM - yes to both (ALK maps)

SO, I would say that these two towns are a NavTeq maps issue and not exclusive to the Rand units or to the MCRA. Anybody have MS Streets 2010 to check those two on? They use NavTeq also.

thanks dieselboss for the info that all the other navteq gps dont have that town either. maybe i should have checked out the cobra unit also since teleatlas maps might have more locations? no offense to you mark: i do like my rand unit. thought navteq was supposed to be best maps.

dieselboss, thanks for info that other units didnt have those towns either. thought navteq maps were best but maybe its teleatlas? if so gives the cobra unit a big advantage (although never found any reviews on that one). no offense mark i like my rand unit but maybe should have looked at cobra too and compared.

I got to mess around with a cobra unit the other day, I was not impressed at all plus the 7in screen is really too big. I have garmin, had the pc miler (junk) but so far trying out the RM unit on display I think It will be my choice next to my Garmin.

Missed it, boss. Take the 465t and click on the icon in the middle that shows where you are. One click.

And no, I'm not supporting the 465t over the RM. Ignore me.

A question from the bf: Is there anything you can do about the GPS shutting off when the battery is low, without any warning before hand.

Our old (Mio) car GPS will tell you when battery is running low and stays on quite a long time even with the battery running low. It gives you a good amount of time to plug it in.

My bf complains that with this GPS, when he's forgotten to plug it in and the battery is running low, the GPS gives no warning and just shuts off to a blue screen while he is driving.

Can anything be done remotely to fix this little prob?
