Delete the POI.DB file...then go to your start menu and find the TND Dock shortcut and click on it.. let the TND Dock reinstall your POI.db file.

    Thanks,

I'm not finished with my testing yet, but so far the unit is solid, but nothing is perfect...

I would like to see more info about Rand McNally intelliRoute TND 500 road testing,
    Thanks

We have updated our review to include the TND now and product summaries: (http://www.dieselboss.com/truck_gps_review_features.htm)

As these companies release the next revs of the software, this chart will change to reflect the current capabilities. :yes2557:

The chart is very extensive in terms of breaking down all of the features of the 3 most popular (and effective) GPS's that have truck routing. Scroll to the bottom to view the overall summary and ratings.

You feel you got burned on the 465t because you paid 500 or you just don't like it?

I didn't pay 500 for the 465T. I am an independent dealer who can pick or choose whatever we want to sell. I sold a couple dozen of them when they first came out, but Garmin wouldn't send me an advance unit so we went with the Garmin name alone without road testing. After we got them into our drivers hands for few weeks we determined that it was "ok" but "ok wasn't good enough" when there are superior alternatives available at a lower price. I have 6 truck GPS brands on my desk and in trucks with testers right now, including the 465T.

I don't "dislike" the 465T. If that were the only (or the best) truck route GPS available I would gladly recommend it because it is a capable unit. But Garmin is the king of "auto" and other consumer GPS devices and there are more "pure" truck GPS efforts that have come out this year that do a better job at a lower price at the time of this writing. If we see Garmin put a concerted effort into making their truck product line more capable then the rating will change accordingly.

    Question?

why is your spread sheet so wide, hard to compare units.

I would venture to say that you have the resolution on your monitor set really low. I had to reduce mine to all the way down to 800X600 pixels in order to have to scroll left and right on that chart. It should look fine at 1024X768 and larger resolutions. Is that the issue perhaps? Anyone else having to scroll left and right to view both sides of it?
