Rand McNally intelliRoute TND 500

Racefan, even though some of us are having some SMALL issues, it is still an awesome unit. And where else can you get this kind of support?

 

Mark, that seems to have fixed it, I uninstalled it, rebooted laptop and plugged in TND and let it install, at first it said if found a newer version and did I want to install it? said yes and everything seems to going well now. Thank you again for all your help.

 

Humm,,seems like a bad install somewhere before and was not in your register correctly.

Most likely caused during a download. I have seen some file corruptions on downloads. Simply the way of the internet. RM is adding CRC (error checking) so the updates may take a moment or two longer now.

Glad it is working now. But, I would disconnect/connect your unit several times to make sure..

Can this unit be programmed in metric and kilometers instead of miles?

 

yes Sir...RM has a setting for that... us Standard/Metric

Alright that sounds good i'm preety convinced about this unit i think i'll pick one up i just have to find out whether or not they sell them and where in Quebec Canada if not i'll wait till i go to the states and get it ive sent an email to Rand Mcnally inquiring about where up here i can purchase this unit.

DieselBoss can ship to Canada also,, but you should be able to pick one up at a Pilot or TA in Canada. If other stores - I do not know. But, I also will query RM about that.

It's $29 to ship to Canada via USPS Priority International. However, beware that Canada may charge you additional "import / broker / taxes" on your end. Those have nothing to do with us and are dependent on your province.

Canadian orders need to phone in though rather than using the site.

All, RM found out today that the set filters on POI's was not working correctly. The bug is being worked on, but RM will determine how the update will go out once the bug is corrected.

Until then, if you set any "select services" and turn the filter on, it will return - no travel centers found.

All, if you have bought a TND 500 within the last two weeks and on the back it shows as a T5C and you are having some problems after you updated via the TND Dock, please let me know.

RM found a issue and they are fixing the issue.

If you are unsure, go to preferences/about and look at the GPS data - if it says "no device attached" contact me asap.
