The shelf tag I saw at the Pilot in Oregon said "new lower price"

It said nothing about a "sale price"

Is the $399 a special sale price?

I may have to break down and buy one now. It seems Santa forgot to leave me one under the tree...even with all those hints.

I'm at the boonville pilot in Mo and they have it on the shelf for $499. The ad in the restroom says it's $399. I played around with the display unit since it was the first working one I found. I like it. I'd have bought it if I wasn't furious with my boss at the moment. I'll probably buy it in the morning if I still have a job after the chat I plan to have with him about retarping a load in the snow at 4am with cheap plastic tarps after the ones I started out with shredded off. Like I told him they would. Repeatedly. ######.

I just bought a TND 500 today and it locks up after a couple minutes. I get a window that pops up and states that my map license is either expired or invalid. So now I have a $399 paperweight on my dash. Can you guys help?

Know that the software that shipped has issues. You need to update ASAP and perhaps Mark can chime in and verify your on the most up-to-date software.
Of course I would bet you can return this (if it's defective) for a simple exchange. Flying J gives refunds...Pilot is exchanges only.

Now...hopefully you didnt get it off of FLEA-BAY or something :biggrin_25513: ...

    chemster Thanks this.

Bought it at Pilot in Pacific, Mo. today. I have been lurking around this thread and trying to determine which gps solution would work for me. The sale Pilot just started helped me pull the trigger for the TND 500. I don't have a computer with me on the truck as I use an iPhone and a laptop is somewhat redundant. I do have desktop at home though. Do you think my unit just needs updated? Btw, I have a tsb model with a sd card.
