    TND-500 Revision T5B

Tested using a 2GB SD card and OSX Snow Leopard:

Download the zip file to the MAC desktop...

    1. Insert USB Stick with SD card into MAC
    2. Run Disk Utility and select drive with SD card
    3. Select Partition. Create 1 partition. Select FORMAT MS-DOS(FAT)
    4. Options - select Master Boot Record
    5. Select Apply (wait for format to complete) - close program.
    6. Double click zip file to force extract on desktop
    7. Double click newly created folder from extraction
    8. Select and copy the '2' items in folder onto mounted flash drive
    9. verify files are on SD card
    10. unmount/eject sd card

-Plug in TND to AC adapter
    -Remove orginal SD card
-Insert temp SD card into TND
    -Turn on TND
    -Watch progress of flash
    -Screen says "YES~OK!!"
-Wait for LED to flash amber rapidly
    -Power off device
-Remove temp SD card and replace with original
    -Power on device

Some assumptions are made that the person using the MAC is familiar with the basic idea here...
however I think the directions are complete as I wrote them down as I was doing this.

The next time you shutdown, try connecting to the TND Dock and updating. I just finished working with another user with the same issue and now after an update his TND is working fine...

    Thanks,
    Mark

If you are getting an expired license error message, try doing an update via the TND Dock first. If you are still getting the error message then let me know.

Also, if you are buying a new TND it may show this error message when you turn it on. Connect the TND up to your computer and install the TND Dock, then update the TND.

    Thanks,
    Mark

While I was at the Pilot in Newburgh NY this morning I selected the Walmart nearest my truck in POI. It showed it was 5 miles away so I took off. Well it led me right to a residential neighborhood and there was no Walmart anywhere in sight.

Mark, It would be helpful to know what's causing this issue and if those of us who updated already will still experience the license issue...

I cannot say for certain why the license's expired on certain T5B. I have been in contact with RM and they are working on a fix that will be passed upon when you update via the Dock.

I know that I have had one user today update via the Dock and his TND is now working fine.

I have my thoughts, but hold off on posting that until RM has a more firm idea of what happened.

If you still have an expired License and are around a computer I would like to get a few files off of your TND.

I do have the correct license's if the update via the Dock does not work.
