Rand McNally TripMaker® RVND™ 7710

I've found that the Ran Macnally's tend to have quite a few problems and often times just quit working. I was talking a few weeks back with one of the Love's managers and he said that they were constantly getting returns on them due to one problem or another. I've heard quite a few good things about the Cobra units.

 

My trainer had one and he loved it. I played with it while training and it seemed pretty good.

 

You understand that the 7710 is the RV model and is not set up for trucks. The 710 is the truck unit.

Look under Electronic Connection for a couple of threads on the TND. Understand that these are support threads.

I am not going to expand on issues if found with the TND in this thread. But, returns can be for many reasons, not simply a non-functioning device.

I have the 510 its fine has its quirks but i think they all do. Not sure id pay the extra for the bigger screen and one extra feature thats your call. If i had to rank it outa 10 it would be a strong 8

 

If you look under Electronic Connection you will find threads there in relationship to the TND. Under Electronic Connection the threads are support in nature.

I monitor the threads in Electronic Connection. Posting here they might tend to get overlooked since the TND is more "highlighted" in the Electronic Support section.

You are right to have concerns as this is a "big" ticket item.
