Fast food places are a different animal of course, but as far as I’m concerned at trucking customers if they let me get in and out ASAP they can smoke poison ivy for all I care.

I live in the middle of west chester Ohio and Walton Kentucky, any Dayton freight guys have a preference on which terminal would be best for working the city?

Those two places are over 200 miles apart...the best terminal is the one closest to your home.

Sorry if I misinterpreted what you said. It looks like you’re telling us that you live somewhere in the general area between two places that are hundreds of miles apart. Not sure which terminals you’re talking about, but I was just trying to say that unless you plan on moving, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to work at any terminal other than the one that’s closest to where you live.

I think it's west Chester twp. They are 45 mins apart though. Technically it's Sharonville I guess

Seems like the better bet would be Walton just from what I've heard. Maybe the man himself @Bob Dobalina might give some insight.

No clue really, wish I could help. What I do know is that drivers from those terminals stay on their side of the river; the peddle areas don't overlap so you wouldn't be crossing the bridge(s) during your day.

I used to peddle the Cincinnati region for another company and I remember being able to relax once I got out of the city and into northern Kentucky. Some parts of Cincinnati are just brutal to run a big truck in. Then again, I'm sure the Walton terminal has their share of tricky stuff to deal with down in the boonies.

I'm not sure how many drivers each terminal's city board has, but it's safe to assume that Cincinnati's is much larger. I could come up with pros and cons for both small and larger barns. One thing that Cincinnati has in its favor is that they are building a shop right now and are going to be expanding the terminal itself at some point. That will allow for new business and require more drivers be hired in the future. Walton uses a vendor for simple repairs and I'm not sure whether they could expand or ever build an actual shop if they wanted to. Their trucks go to Dayton for PMs and anything major. Just a thought.

Wish I could help more. Good luck!

He's just referring to our CIN terminal on the north side of Cincinnati. Which reminds me: a pro for CIN and a con for WAL would be the commute. You'd be headed in the "wrong" direction going to and from Walton every day...
