Partly, cost. Secondarily is service.
The merger just became official in March. So they're in the throws of the actual takeover and dismantle of some terminals.
They also don't have a PERSON to talk to when a customer calls in a pickup. Its just their generic machine.
Valley had PEOPLE, to talk to. Dayton us sending multiple tricks to the same pickup. In some areas and neglecting other picks in remote areas. I know this is a shake out
of the merger. But it's not good business either.
Which is leading to the exodus.Another Canadian driver, MACK E-6 and EuropeanTrucker Thank this. -
Sending multiple trucks to the same pickup is just unmitigated stupidity.Another Canadian driver, misterG and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

Yes. Some drivers don’t connect the blue line because they perceive it to get jumpy when you get on the brakes. But always the red line.
That’s the FedEx special.

I’ve only pulled a dolly behind a pup a handful of times, but I always connected both service lines. Leaving the valve off helps with the “jumpy” problem.Another Canadian driver and misterG Thank this.

Stick a quarter on the grommet before connecting the air line. DOT frowns on disconnected lines.Another Canadian driver and misterG Thank this.

....and just like that I was called and advised I would have the night off due to XMP FAC only needing 2 of our 3 drivers presumably due to low inbound freight. Doesn't hurt my feelings a BIT! I told my FoM to give me the rest of the week off if he could!
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Your still at XPO ?Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Technically I already resigned a few weeks back, but they asked me to stay...so I'm on a day-by-day basis at this point. Now that the FoM was let go last week, we'll see how long I can stick with it.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
