Nope, it came in on a line haul from up north. Only one delivery on it. I don't think it ever hit the dock. I hooked it, did a quick EXTERIOR petrip, but failed to actually open the door and look inside. Not one of my more brilliant moves there...

Refused my first pickup on Mon. Meat market was trying to return to sender a barrel of rotten sausage casing. They didn't understand that I'm not taking a temp controlled shipment that is only going to further spoil in a DRY VAN.

    Where were they sending that??!

Seems to me crap like that would go in the dumpster, not in a truck.

It was going to some place in NEW YORK, from upper WI. I can only imagine what the trailer would have smelled like when it finally got to New York.

i refused stuff all the time. Why would I pick up something that I know would be a claim later on? Stuff not packaged properly, hanging off the pallet, stuff I knew we couldn't move without damaging, never made it on to my trailer. Management was mad at first but them they seemed to get it all of a sudden. And when I worked inbound it always ticked me off when i opened a trailer that was just passed off to us knowing it would be a claim.

    Quality over quantity!

That is t he overriding theme for the company that we do a majority of our interline work for. They send us stuff that no other company would even consider sending out.
Like stacking a skid of full barrels on a skid of computers. Kid you not, that really happened. My boss took multiple pics of that one. We even started a wall of shame for some of the things they have sent us. Many of which were probably just fine, until the trailer left the dock and went down the road to us.

Stacking barrels on computers is a special kind of stupid.

Only had 11 stops today, and still brought 2 back.

One was a scrap yard I pulled into at 12:00 with 1 skid of baling wire. I walked into the office, where I found 3 people who were delighted to tell me "we're on lunch until 1:00".

I said "have a nice weekend".

I don't have the time OR the patience to wait for 3 yahoos to get done with their circle fest.
