Now THAT is a real pisser! Was this lack of communication, (you not knowing it,) or was it due to some type of equipment problem? Whichever it was, seems to me like it would be nice to know a bit in advance so you could plan something.

We have it all on a calendar in the beginning of the year and it was just an oversight on my end. I had 3 weeks of vacation this year! I thought that was pretty good, the beer company I worked for you would have had to work there I don't know how long before you got 3 weeks. It was on the calendar, it was just an oversight on my end. I can catch up on my sleep LOL! Maybe I'll get some maintenance done on my truck, oil change, coolant flush stuff like that. Going to the body shop tomorrow you know nothing insane.

You know it was funny what really runs me out of gas more then anything else isn't so much the physical work load it's the way early hours. The physical work I swear doesn't matter as much as the early hours those are killers really the getting up at 1:45am on Tuesday and all that, that makes me more tired then anything else. I can't go to bed at 6pm I can't do it and because of that I basically get enough sleep during the work week to get by, but come Thursday and Friday I am pooped. Friday night usually by 10pm I am done. Last night for what ever reason I wasn't all that tired sometimes, that happens, but usually boom I'm tired I'm done.

I was just thinking gee it'll be nice to have a week off to catch up on my sleep and recharge my batteries. Actually I have 40 hours of sick time and personal time to take off as well and still another week of vacation coming to me, for a year and a half in having almost 4-5 weeks of off time isn't to bad.

Of course realize this my first year I had no time off they gave me gave me without me asking one Monday off because they had enough guys to cover and realized I had worked all year without taking anytime off at all, and it just kind of worked out that way and what ended up happening is that saved up a bunch of vacation and sick time hours to where I have this time off now.

However I'll put it to good use catch up on my sleep and save some money, because I went down to Maaco today and I know Maaco has kind of a funny wrap some people say there good some people say there bad, let me say this, they've been around a very long time, the Maaco body shop in Akron, Ohio I took my car to, has been there for sometime there not brand new, they must be doing something right for $457 that's about all I want to spend, what ever they do will be good enough. It's not a show truck, go to Maaco or go to some other place and spend $2,500 it really doesn't matter because in 5 years the truck will be rotted out all the same between the harsh weather and road salt slurry liquid extra corrosive mix they use up here that does nothing but destroys cars and roads what's the use.

That's Maaco's niche want alright work done on the cheap because it's paint work and your paying out of pocket because it's not an insurance claim send it to Maaco that's Maaco's thing if you have an old car and it looks are questionable, but mechanically it's in good shape send it to Maaco for $2,000 they will pain the whole thing good enough and you'll get 5 more years out of the car.

I flat out asked the guy I said and I know this to me makes me sound like an A-Hole, but I asked him what kind of warranty do I get with the roof job. He said 5 year warranty on it. Well for $457.00 bucks plus a 5 year warranty well that sounds good to me. Like you said your self Big Don, the Maaco's you've seen the stuff looked alright.

Well I moved from my local TL job to LTL finally. And after my first 6 days doing p&d. My first rant is these dang warehouses that have 10 different businesses in them. Makes it hard to find the right one some times.

Yeah, they can be a pain. But like anything else, once you learn your way around them, they aren't too bad. The worst part around here, is that a lot of those warehouses are not staffed all the time. So if you get a delivery to them, you have "call the consignee before delivery," then wait around for him/her/it to show up. Appointment? What the hell is that, everybody operates on "Mormon Standard Time" here.......

"Mormon Standard Time" sure sounds a lot like 'native time' here. They'll get there when they do, and not a minute before.
Nor do they care that you have 8 more stops to do after you get theirs off. You can wait for them.
But by God, you had better not be late yourself, or you're just doing it because they are "native".
