Had a residential delivery friday. it snowed the day before and there was ice in the driveway. The only one home was a teenage looking girl (probably playing
hookie from school) I couldnt pull the pallet jack up due to the ice, I asked her if they had any Salt to throw down. She said "let me check"
She came out with a small container of Morton Table Salt. Folks, i cant make this Crap up!

Yo roadrunner did you get with the 400 pounder yet?
Here is my rant. Worked the dock for 4 hours Friday to find out my runs canceled again. Got to do our longest and of course I made good timing, even with the snow. And the hub isn't ready and after 3 hours they send me on a via, go there to return to the hub to be put to bed... There wenty weekend. But at least I got monday off I think as I don't have the hours and can't do my resetMarksteven Thanks this. -
High five on the dock work ACH. 18 hours this week and 10.25 driving. Pretty soon i'm gonna have to look for the 400 pounders as sugar mommas and then pimp them out to RR.
Just glad no one I knew or myself was in the 100 pile up on the PA turnpike.Big Don Thanks this. -
I haven't had a single week under 45 hours in the 10 months I've been with my company

Of course lol. I remember when I said we'd be great neighbors as we don't really speak to them. Plus they don't like any of the toys I got LOL. Only thing I've never seen any good looking UPS girls around here. I used to hit on all the girls when I worked at fedex ground. That I met through the day. Heck I got my boss in trouble for getting a number when I covered his route, the pickup the guy had a daughter my age, and she told her dad she got the fedex guys number and he thought it was my boss.... Never heard the end of that.
This really isn't a rant but I got a connection with the railroad for an entry position which I might take of I get it. As much as I do like pulling sets and even with the bickering and problems I do like UPSF but the way the industry is going I think it's best to leave. Plus how's the best time while I'm still young, not married and no kids. The stories my grandfather tells me he used to do made it seem like the best job ever, now it's just not the same.Marksteven Thanks this. -
If you ever come to my area, i will introduce you to one of the prettiest UPS drivers you will ever lay your eyes on. I think the railroad is a great
option. 1 of our drivers left years ago and is now an Engineer for the Canadian National Railroad. Another driver is leaving shortly to become a conductor for CN.
