Haha, that is funny, but that's what the training is all about, don't hit a kid, more kids are hit by their own bus driver than anyone else. So could be the case for some drivers, just didn't like the kid, for me, I just like driving the large bus, I don't like driving with the kids on the bus, all the distractions, throwing bottles at each other, not sitting in their seats, trying to strangle each other all while I'm trying to drive "undistracted" driving a bus is really not safe, supposed to not text or talk on the phone, the kids are enough distraction, like having too many dogs on your lap as you drive.

 

FWIW, I'd make it maybe one entire block as a school bus driver. Then, school books, and disruptive riders would have a fast exit through a window. I'd get fired, sued, and likely arrested as well.
I think I'll let somebody else drive the bus!

 

Then "we" can just stay on the short bus, LoL!

 

When I first started as a bus driver, winter hit, many new recruits quit, some leaving the kids on the bus in freezing weather on the side of the road, quite insane. But we did have the 3 strikes rule when riding on the bus, so kids were kicked off the bus, we just didn't let them on at the schools, and their parents were given a nice letter home of their behavior and the schools were informed too.

 

ps: @Mike2633 may end up on one of these ^^^ the way he's running those "blind" routes.

Man, might be fun for a day or too, but.....sheesh. . . too many unknowns make me crazy(ier.)

 

That is hilarious, nice rims on the front, must be some sleeping area behind the driver's seat, nice door though to get in and out. You're Ohio, I'm originally from Arizona, 20 years ago, but now live in Canada.

 

@road_runner, you work for a sucky place. Why anyone puts up with any of that is ridiculous. QUIT get a real job. Your CDL is way more valuable than that crappy place

You're also phrasing the question incorrectly

You are asking to go to the Dr.

You need to phrase it like this: "i'm going to the doctor, you should probably get someone to cover the route, but really this is just a courtesy, it's not my problem"

problem solved, I mean what are they going to do? fire you? Montana is actually a pretty pro-worker state, it's a right to work state, not an at will state. it's almost impossible to fire someone in Montana. The employees have all the power. GROW SOME BALLS.
