Where I work when we really get into a bind management has to go out and run routes. There have been days when the head boss has left voicemails saying Everyone have a good day nobody's home in the office the entire branch is out on routes.

    G13Tomcat and misterG Thank this.

They got into management first thought was probably will never have to run a route or drive a truck ever again, it would be safe to say that's probably there hopes and dreams?

If somebody stuffed ME in an office and took the road out from under me....well that's a story for another day, LoL~! ;) I did that back in the '90's, to a degree....being a Switchman for the telecom industry (back then) was as much of a field job as was otherwise, if not more. Talking to y'all on here is about as "officey" as it gets, LoL~! :)

Some people really like working in the office it's fun you get to sit in your chair and do stuff I guess, I really don't know what they do in the office all day.

No clue, either. None. Manicures? Pedicures? No clue. Baffles the heck out of me. Let me know if you figure THAT one out. One can only "micromanage" so much, hehehehe~! ;)

Starting to get worried. This week so far has been early gates and easy relays. I haven't been to Detroit a single time, and the via I had to East St Louis got changed to empties back to the barn.

I know what they do. Pretend to work most of the day, actually work about 2 hours. Gossip with coworkers and pretend it's business related, and not get me the paperwork I need to hit the road because the vending machine jammed and her chips are more important than getting me out the door.

Sorry, bad experience at a past job. I had a coworker that could magically turn what could have been a 10 hr day for me into 14. But if she had to stay a second past quitting time it was the end of the world.

I went in our TM's office this morning raising hell about freight that's been sitting on the dock for weeks, and in some cases months. It's cluster ####ing up my section and I don't like it.

I won't be the least bit surprised if this gets ignored. :biggrin_25512:
