Hay man, yessir I know where you are (right off 224 in Lodi, right?) and I know where you are heading. Are you taking 30W to I75S? (30 mixes with 71S thru there, btw...watch signage...) When you get to 75 South, which is also 4th Street East exit right there, it is exit 124 (not 125) I'm pretty sure.

I've been there a couple times myself, but not often unless hauling back flash from Shelly in Toledo...but I know where you are. It's like 5 minutes off the exit; you will actually see it from 75.

Hope your problems in Lodi work out for you; and yeah, that's good news about the paper. My truck is old enough (by choice, LoL) we don't have to switch either. :)

Leme know if you need anything else....i'm almost POSITIVE its 124 though, not 125.

    Best of luck,man!

Yep from i90 i took 271 71 30 to 75 got off exit 125 on e kibby. Made that left at intersection where kibby runs off to the right and doesnt look truck friendly. Took forever in a truck that would only do 58-59mph. They just finished the trailer now. Been 16 hours cramped in this coffin, which is only 32in btw. Didn't mind that much tho cuz im on 20hr breakdown pay. Puts me around 1000$ for something like 34hrs. Im off exit 2 off 224. World truck is the place. Wheel bearing, seal and pads.

@JPenn yea its at least 13 maybe even 15 but id stay at frito, its not going anything like it was back when my dad was at Nabors in owego with 30 some rigs. Were mostly doing nomac, hp & patterson. My dad talks about buying a can but i know he wont pull the trigger

You see the old girl since he and my uncle painted it?

Dr signed off on me to return to work yesterday . Went and got a new DOT physical today . Corp has to sign off on the paperwork , then a new drug screen. Hoping to be back in the seat Saturday ? Tomorrow afternoon will be 7 weeks out of the truck. Wondering if we are going to have to jump start my truck ?

    cool

you should put a trickle charger on it today so it's well charged tomorrow.
don't even try it, just put the trickle charger on it, no matter what it's going to be down.

so there I am, coming back from Glenwood Springs into Denver. I've been on the stretch of I-70 from Denver to Silverthorne, 100's of times. I just don't go fast in a truck downhill. speed limit 35, 8% grade, loaded, empty I putter along around 35, i get passed a lot, I don't care. I rarely touch my brakes, even in crappy older freightliners (but I repeat myself)

The last hill before you come into Denver on I70 is Genesee Hill (aka lookout mountain, also known incorrectly as Floyd Hill). It's 5 to 6 miles of 5-6% grade with a nice hard left hand turn at the bottom. (i know, genius right?) I remember as a kid they finally built a truck runaway ramp about halfway down. It's really too soon, but it's about the only place to put it.

So, the hill goes hard downhill, slight uphill, really steep section downhill, levels out for a while, then starts getting curvy and steep again, and right about where the 3rd section starts is where the runaway ramp is.

some guy passed me earlier, grocery store delivery, I see them a lot. (the privatized carriers that do all that for the chains). and I'm puttering down the hill right at 46, empty pup. (I mean seriously light), the speed limit 45, there are TONS of signs saying limit 45, you are not down yet, 5 miles of 6% grade, etc, etc, etc And im thinking as I see the first sign for runaway truck ramp "you know this ramp really is too early, should be further down the hill", and I come around the corner and what's in the runaway truck ramp???

yeah, a truck, the grocery delivery guy from earlier. In a volvo. Now volvo's have awesome jakes, and the other engine available is a cummins, and they too have awesome jakes. So, I have no idea. He wasn't very far into it and I didn't smell brakes, so I have no real idea what happened.

But, too slow a 1000 times, too fast only once came to mind.

I remember that route well....try that in a tanker; not fun. Glad I'm intrastate nowadays; Kudos to you for "holding your ground," literally. I've never seen a guy on the ramp; always said if I had... i'd stop to find out 'wtf' .....

Your last sentence speaks VOLUMES, man.

Truck is at the term. Shop moved it sometime , coworker called me tonight . It's not where I left it . When I have to go back for the drug test, will see if she turns over, if not will write her up with the shop.

I can get you Jahns, Tax Air, Valley Cartage, and US Special. If you want them.
I carry all 4 every day, since I pick up for them sometimes all of them at the same locations.

    Oh goody.

Leaving the yard an hour and a half late wasn't bad enough. Now I'm sitting with a broken fan belt.

Last night I blew a hose coming through the gate. They fixed that, but the belts were still squealing. I had a feeling that wasn't over yet.
