It's nice to find the sweet spot, eh? I don't (rarely if ever) run the tpke anymore but yep..that's the "rhythm of the beat" (or beast?) for sure!

How are you liking this newfound pleasure, btw?

 

What a cluster

6 trucks all waiting at the smaller hub. it's 3am (I told them I would be back at 3am, you'll have freight for me? oh yeah, plenty of freight, I showed up at 2:58, "ohhh, you'll have to wait")
some guys had been waiting since 1:30. (i would have left and gone home, not my problem)

"oh, it will be done at 3:30"
3:50, still nothing
3:55, still waiting, the trailer is pulled from one door so you can see inside. They send everyone on break.
IT'S NOT DONE

All of these trailers are supposed to be delivered by like 3:30, 4am, they aren't even done yet. There's like one manager just throwing boxes in.

Why would you send them on break? FINISH THE JOB.

 

Oh I like it just fine the thought of having to go back to broadline makes me want to cry a little bit. This week always flys by.

 

Can you bid that route?!?

 

I don't think so it's someone else's run, however usually people at GFS end up falling into stuff like this.

 

Alright so fun in the sun headed to Buffalo, New York on one of the overnight volume runs.
I've got a rental Penske truck 70 mile an hour speed limiter and automatic transmission tonight this should be a fun one!

 

Probably the "we are dock jockeys and don't give a #### break". This type of break is taken whenever the urge strikes.

 

So far so good made it through the dark and fog from Pittsburgh to Buffalo.

Nice run so far just had to be a little careful with I-79.

New York Thruway was a breeze.
