@Brettj3876 - yep, I went thru there tonight. Construction has been a pain lately all across 70 from Columbus to Indy.

I-70 bridge work will divert traffic; city could see traffic increase

Better get used to it, unfortunately. 10 mile backups into Ohio? That sounds like a real pleasure. And when the West bound side is finished, they'll do the same going east. 40 and 27 are going to be almost as bad.

I'm meeting a relay driver east of Zanesville tonight. I think I'll go to Cincinnati and up 71 to pick up 70 again. About 40 extra miles, but the time I'll save... Besides, there's a gas station with truck parking in Harrison that has a Dunkin Donuts. Don't need any sugary treats, but I love the coffee.

I think you should be alright coming from Indy, at least in Richmond. Eastbound traffic will still have 2 lanes; it's westbound that goes to one lane and goes over the eastbound bridge. But of course then you have all the other clusters across 70...

Eastbound trip went fine. I'll be good headed West too since all the good and decent folk will be in bed and it won't be closing time yet. I'd hate to do it around 7 am on a weekday though.

Hi guys here again living in a hotel for a few more days.

Working with a new driver this week. We're on the night shift.
Guy I'm working with got his CDL on Friday.

I forgot how semi nerve racking working with new guys is. He's pretty good, but backing he's got a learning curve on.

Just out there trying to keep us out of trouble.

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I guess he's already considered trained I guess. But he doesn't have his license yet and can't really drive on his own.

He's an okay driver, but he just lacks experience navigating the lots. There not hard, he just hasn't been around long enough yet and doesn't know all the moves and tricks.

None of the stops we had were very difficult, I could have done the backing no problem, he's just new and putting the pieces together one by one guess that's how the future is done.

You too, eh? Cool on you, also. Patience is the ONLY virtue I didn't recover...... ;) but for Boat, go figure.
