I don't think Springfield has had any issues. We did just drop about 600k on new scanners for the sorting system though. Loads have been a mess, out of order.

Copy. Yep, Huber Heights is our "Dayton" terminal. Your guys were at that restaurant down the street between the concert place and Meijer.
-
Yeah that's where I figured they were lol
Those guys get all the help on their little routes... or coulda been chem bev servicing restaurant equipmentMike2633 and Bob Dobalina Thank this. -
Nah, it was a GFS van. Mike mentioned they sometimes help out which is why I wondered if Springfield had an issue also. So you run delivery routes out of Springfield? I used to deliver there a lot at my old job.

I can respect a leader that can do that, or otherwise never forgot where he came from.Gearjammin' Penguin, misterG, G13Tomcat and 2 others Thank this.

Me too. Our dispatch and operations guys do the equivalent by jumping on forklifts when necessary. It helps guard against the "us versus them" mentality when it's obvious everyone is on the same team.Gearjammin' Penguin, ZachG91, MACK E-6 and 2 others Thank this.

always good to see team players. ive seen our terminal manager on a lift. in fact, last week, i saw him loading trailers with a pallet jack. these aren't rare occurrences. he busts his ### 100 different ways for us. from grilling steaks all night to loading trailers to whatever he can do to help. hell one of the linehaul drivers takes a friday off occasionally just to cook for us before we leave. come to think of it, that grill gets used A LOT.Gearjammin' Penguin, ZachG91, Bob Dobalina and 3 others Thank this.

Well more fun in the sun, today one of our trucks was rear ended out on the east side. A Mack Dump Truck miss judged and took the right side of the ICC bumper right off of one of our trailers.
Our boss and our second van driver (we have 2 vans and 2 van drivers now.) had to run out there to go get that mess cleaned up. The accident wasn't our fault so now the dump truck company can settle that however they settle it. Actually the ICC bumper on the right side was ripped clean off the rest of the trailer is fully intact and in fine shape. -
It's a ringer! I love when that happens, especially when I'm building a set in an unlit corner of the drop yard...
