I started work thursday at 8am. Took my 30 while fixing the #### trailer tandems and being unloaded which ended at 1:15. Finally got the 2nd load unloaded at 11:15pm and got to the hotel at 11:45pm

yeah, i don't think math is management's strong suit. There were 5 of us basically in the same boat.

Did you guys see UPS pilots union is in a squabble with UPS. I guess UPS needs to ad more planes and doesn't want to so they are hiring air freight companies to haul there air freight (gee where does this sound familiar from?) So now the pilots union has filed a grievance against UPS.

    Had an interesting residential today.

I called 1/2 hr before, and when I got to the turnoff, the lady was sitting there on a quad, making the "Follow me" sign. Oh, boy...this is always an indicator that you're gonna have a fun day.

"PRIMITIVE ROAD" does not even begin to describe this. Picture a trail gouged out of dirt and rocks, 8' wide at best, and a mile of it resembled one of those Most Dangerous Roads On Earth videos where you're about 1.367mm from tumbling down a cliff into a river. I'd have taken pictures, but that whole "don't die" thing took precedence. The road dead-ended into their driveway, where a hard left had to immediately happen to avoid crashing through their shed. Fortunately, they did have a back yard big enough to turn around, and once I unloaded the 1500# welder onto some steel plate they had lying around(pallet jacks and soft dirt are not friends), I headed back out with the lady running escort in case of traffic.(!!) I cleared their gate on the way out by maybe two inches, and battled the auto tranny up the steep, winding and gravel-covered roads.

Welcome to the life of a satellite yard P&D driver. It ain't all about bumping docks. If I'm ever in the area in my POV and have some time, I'll make sure to throw up some pics.

This right here is when I say NO. Too small driveway, too big truck. Not going to risk damage to either. It gets left at the end of the driveway.

There was no way to "leave it at the end of the driveway." The road ends directly into their yard, and there's nowhere to turn around until you go through the gate.

Nope, Cornville. Jerome is a walk in the park compared to this road.

I have to agree that that may not have been a good idea. Especially the part about being on a dirt road no bigger than the truck on the edge of a cliff. That's just for that edge to give way and drop you and the truck over the edge.

    Understood.

But at some point, like when\where she met you with the ATV. I know you think, when do I stop and say no more.
