Yesterday our assistant manager announced that all full time dockworkers and drivers that are working on the dock will have mandatory 4 hours overtime until further notice. We'be been getting 4 hours OT since January not sure why they have to tell us the reason for that now. I guess a lot of people were b!tching about it. Apparently road drivers come back from the meet runs late.o_O Always gotta throw drivers under the bus:rolleyes:

That's what SAIA has to do with not enough drivers. :^) Where I was just working their barn had tractors present every time I went by, not sure they ever moved day-to-day. Seriously, what small LTL barn has the luxury to have half a dozen tractors sitting idle during the day?

I talked to a FxF TM about a PT dock slot and they warned me I wouldn't get many hours, very serious about the PT description. So you're in a good spot for freight, reap it while you can.

And yeah the industry attitude toward drivers is bipolar, not just at FxF.

    Pfffffttttttt.....:p.

    *Yawn*

    (Clears Throat)

So, what a day 2 days in a row of good old fashioned heavy loads. I think I'm getting to tired for this LOL! They have us on this new electronic logging system and they ran me ragged yesterday. Although I was not the last one back, but close. They ran me ragged. I ended up getting back and getting everything checked out with 1 minute 1 minute to spare on the clock. So I literally ran the clock down to 1 minute.

Then this morning I started an hour late and it still wasn't late enough off time and got my self a logging violation. So I'll have to sign the violation paper work and what ever. Not the first time that's happened. We have a new elog system it's a lot more legit then our old system and I'm not totally sure how to take it, but I have a new understanding of how it works after today.

Anyhow, so that aside, I got a new two wheeler from work today. They hired a new guy and then hired another new guy or something I don't know and they didn't have anymore 2 wheeler's to hand down. So my boss had to buy 2 new one's. Well he doesn't like giving brand new two wheelers to new guys. So he asked me, what shape my wheeler was in. Well in April of 2017 they bought me a new frame and I also put a bunch of new pieces parts on mine. So the answer, was pretty good shape.

My old wheeler had a new frame, new plate, new break pads, and I had just put on brand new Magliner Wheels and Tires. Now mine had a year of use on it so it was a little worn, but quite doesn't clank or rattle all the screws and stuff were tight. Works well. So it's perfect for a new guy and then I got a brand new one. My boss had put it together this morning and I mean brand new it's shiny and clean. So where I thought I was going to get in trouble I ended up getting a new wheeler. Who knew?

Anyhow, enjoying my mandatory 10 hours off right now which won't be a problem I got out of work a lot earlier today actually by 11:00pm tonight I should be all caught up and legal again.

While the DOT may not like his efforts, I give him credit for not breaking the shrink wrap!

I went to our another barn in Allentown right across from Saia and I saw bunch of tractors sitting in their yard. I guess drivers don't want some silly camera looking at them all day. At my place even part timers work 40+ hours sometimes. I don't mind OT, more money in my pocket.
