I DID ring in the New Year at work. Came through the city at midnight. Back at the DC at 1230. First chain truck back.

    Same here, today.
Until I pre-tripped the trailer and didn't have brakes or an inflated suspension. 2 hours later at the shop, and I was rolling.
Got 5 out of 12 stops done. Kicked one off at the dock, for trying to ship food with HM. Got another driver who was coming home through my area to get my picks.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

    No, just a picky receiver.
It was straight 8 corrosive, totally legal to ship with food, following seperation and segregation guidelines.

But the receiver, will refuse for shipping with HM, on general principal alone. Unless its THEIR (HM), its being shipped with.
Just one of those things that you get to know when you do the same route everyday. And see mostly the same people day in and day out.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

A few redelivery charges should stop that.

Sure, but we go by them daily. So its easier to ship on another truck and not play games.

The last time they did it.
They stamped all over the bags and boxes (refused, shipped with HM).

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Did double turn to NJ csx rail yard today. My first trailer wasn't ready of course so I had to jump on the lift and load my can.

Those new dockworkers are freaking slow and lack any common sense. Holy crap... I was so tempted to beat the living crap out of the one that was apprently "helping me" load the trailer. He loaded 6 hazmat drums and did not secure any of them with a strap to the wall.. My blood was boiling:angry4::angry4::angry4::angry4:

How fkn dumb can you be.

There are downsides to being at a small yard, but I'm so thankful that we all know WTF we're doing...!

    Speak for yourself kind SIR.
I intend to be only as smart as I need to be, to survive the stupidity that I deal with on a daily basis.
