I'd take a new Volvo with D13 and iShift (or whatever its called) all day over my KW 680. I hate my god ###### truck.

    Radman and Mike2633 Thank this.

Agreed. I wish we could replace all of our Kenworths with Volvos.

Radman, Mike2633 and McUzi Thank this.

It seems to be going backwards the other way. Kenworth must be prostituting them selves out to all the Volvo fleets.

But dang do they look hideous. Seems like 2018/2019 was the year all trucks stopped looking like trucks. Freightshakers, Volvo’s, Mack’s, and internationals. All have that weird corner/square/car look to them now.

Volvos and Freightliners have been awful since 96, Mack hasn’t made a decent truck since the R model, and the Durastar was the beginning of the crappification of International.

The problem with Volvo is every year they ad more stupid electronics to there trucks and there always blowing faults and censor codes and censors are constantly being switched out.

Add to that the fact that they are uglier than dog ####.

Yeah the new models I think are pretty ugly. My grandpa owned a Volvo car once back in the 60s and he bought some parts for it and they were really expensive and he said “well you gotta pay for ugly.”

About 6 months ago a newer driver rolled my bid tractor. It came back the other day, I was asked if I wanted it back. I politely said NO. I guess they rebuilt it. I will definitely try and stay out of that thing. Could be good as new or drive like a rolled tractor. Judging on how sometimes tractors come back from service with no antifreeze or very low on oil I’m gonna think it’s probably gonna be bad.

misterG, MACK E-6 and Mike2633 Thank this.
