Lol I get a lot of inbox.... Done it's clear now.
busy day today, hired a new guy. Soooo the driver trainer is on vacation, so they had one guy cover his route and train the new driver, and I covered the guys route... Was fairly easy as it's the town I was born and raised in so up that was the easy part. Hard part was using a 48ft trailer On the tight roads. There's two bridges I can't go under. Well I think one I can clear I will find out tomorrow as I saw swift go under. I'll ask the guy tomorrow. Also some UPS guy stole a dock from me as I was backing up and laughed about it... Oh well.
But got 3 hours overtime which was nice as I missed Friday....Marksteven and Shaggy Thank this. -

I'm laughing because it's done to me and I do it too others, Sneak up on former/current co-workers buried deep looking down at paperwork, give a loud bang on the equipment or drivers door yelling "got you good Fawker" we are very immature.
When they "steal" a door, our running joke is leave something stupid on the drivers seat. ( i love you notes from the security guards to applications to our company or mcdonalds ) did i mention we are very mature at our jobs ?! Yes i every time i go into a store, ask for application.
Currently we have a former co-worker, he does this to everyone and we can't get him back. He throws those big-gulps from 7-11 at the windshield, Borderline about being funny, but that's his signature and everyone else swears it's in fun. This dude runs, It's funny because he runs like a girl and looks like wilt chamberlain lmao
LTL has its suck daily factor, in the end ( at least around here ) make it fun and the pay isn't bad lol. 50-60 year old guys acting like kids and would be embarrassed to have their family know of shenanigans = priceless
Not apologizing for the rant, ACH it sucks sometimes knowing that was you recently in that spot, I can't even try to suggest what we do around here mentioned above, Good on you for laughing it off.
My metro is small ( around 1 million ), you'd probably get beaten and thrown in hudson pulling our mature stunts.Last edited: Jun 24, 2014

Forgot to mention above ACH. do you city folks ever disconnect that 48/53 footer same dry van ?!?! around here 53 footer. your area 48 footer.
2 fellas around here use the same tractor/wagon every day. masters at their job. -
Actually shaggy it was a Parcel guy not a freight guy.
And yes some guys use the same truck and trailer every day. Some really tight areas they have pups and jitter boxes. Mostly 45s and 48s. The further East you go you can whip a 53 footer around.
We just stay in my area. We don't go into NYC. the Elizabeth terminal does thatShaggy Thanks this. -
Ok so here is my eventful day. After an exhausting day I get back to the barn and they ask if I want to do a quick residential delivery not far away. I got no plans tonight so I was like sure why not. So I go to the stop and there's a note on the door to call the phone as the persons out back. Call the phone and a girl answers saying OK coming. Answers the door in the shortssr shorts and a bikini top... All I'll say is I lost all words to say. Hot blonde as well. Make the delivery where she said her parents wanted it and we start talking for a bit, turns out she's my age and had a lit in common. Didn't want to be rude but I had to go before she want to hang out and if the gf found out shed come and cut something of mine off lol.
Marksteven Thanks this. -

I would've hooked you up but never mind now
PS please refrain from posting my name on here. They are watching meMarksteven Thanks this. -
Well Ach, it beats sitting at Home Depots 3-4 nights a week and staring at bugs and a dark parking lot!!
Cause that's what I'm doing on this balmy night! Ha ha That kinda stop only happened to me once out in the Hamptons, when I was a Cable-tech! Enjoy it while your young! crazey-out!
