Random Truck Search?

That's how they got into my truck, I refused for them to search a K9 unit was called along with other troopers.
They pulled the dog out went around my truck the trooper said to the trooper that I was standing next to, did you see that.
Im thinking to myself that I dint see the dog do nothing..

 

Yep.. if they really want in, and they don't have Scruples... they're going in.

I support LEOs.. but that's just wrong.

Dogs “ alert “ on every stop they go to. Never seen one that didn’t. They use dogs here local too. Always follows up with a search.
Dogs are a scam now.

 

Sounds like your rig matched something they were searching for. If you got nothing to hide then I reckon nothing to worry about. Good for you guys for being on the straight and narrow. Truck on!

 

The local state cop at San Jon NM was the K9 officer for that area, he would take it to the scale house sometimes to rack up his monthly quota quick and easy. I worked on trucks out there and spent a lot of time there, never ever seen that dog hit that they didn't make a bust. Nearly all the trucks they walked it around it would just wag it's tale.

 

I let them look anytime they wanted to for years, till they started abusing their authority, and that is exactly what I told them when they got mad because I refused. I also tell them to stop somebody that needs a search, instead of trying to fill there quota on people they don't need it.
A few years ago, my brother in laws car broke down and he needed a way to work, I loaned him my bike, but it was 600 miles down to where he lived, so I loaded it in a little ford ranger I had and my 16 year old daughter took it to him.
Were talking a single cab ford ranger that I hasd to remove the plastic bedliner to tie down the bike, clean and nothing but the bike and one suitcase in it, they kept her sitting in the ditch for over 2 hours, while they supposedly searched the pickup.They will never search anything of mine again, with out a warrant.

 

Well I was "told" by US customs at the Canadian border that they were going to inspect my vehicle. I said fine and that I was going to observe their inspection. They got all pissed off. Guess what there was no inspection and down the road I went.

Customs, their nor ours has to have a warrant or a reason to search anything. It seems like the first time you go through Canads, they will search you, after that they are way more lenient, at least that is how they were with me, and everybody I knew of was searched the first trip.

Now if you happen to be hauling any porn mags, movies or toys, they have to check them every trip.
They were unloading one one time and he mentioned it happened every week. It turned out he hauled some sex toys to one of his drops, they were in the middle of the load, they pulled them off and he left them there and took the ones he left the week before. lol

 

And this is EXACTLY why I keep the curtain dividing my office from my home closed when I'm driving down the road. All my pertinent equipment is either north of the curtain, or immediately accessible from the sidebox via the exterior doors... there's NO reason for an officer to be aft of that center curtain whatsoever, because there's neither going to be consent nor probable cause
