Got hit every quarter for 5 tests. Asked them if I was getting picked off the list because they knew I would pass all tests. Funny, haven’t been tested in a long time.

They get a list and you can take people off and sub other people on, so it is entirely possible that because you were passing they were subbing you for a driver they knew would burn through the cup

That makes sense. I remember sitting in the safety office chillin and chatting with the safety guy at Pam/Decker. He suddenly was looking on his computer "oh shoot they already left Laredo". He told me whenever he had a trainer and student in Laredo he could get 2 done. Had to have been from subbing in now that you say that.

We have a total of 4 drivers, including myself. I have one guy that gets picked almost every quarter, where I haven’t had a random in at least a couple of years. We are completely hands off on who gets picked from the random pool.

At Schneider they always knew where you were. And if you ever got a message, "call me when you get done there....", you knew it was a random.

That sounds to me like a convenient way for for some desk driver to railroad people he doesn’t like.

No matter which way you look there is always a way to get rid of people you don't like. This would be one of them, I know if I had drivers I didn't like this is one way I would get rid of them, especially I thought they were using any kind of drugs.

Worked for one company where the head of safety would wait outside the men's room and grab guys and send them for a random. I never got tagged, but i didn't stay there long.

I came into the office once on an off day to turn something in and when the safety lady saw me told me I had been picked for a random. Said they were going to send me the next morning when I came to work but since I was there..... So I went for the test, then logged it as required. That hour on on duty time screwed up my 34 so I had to start it over. Dispatch was pissed because that screwed up there planning.
    They never did that again.
